With both teams resting the bulk of their starters,Philadelphia came away with a 16-13 winover Baltimore on a last-second 49-yard field goal from Jake Elliott after linebacker Patrick Johnson caused a late fourth-quarter fumble on a strip sack of Ravens quarterback Emory Jones.
With the matchup now complete, the Birds are heading to New England for a joint practice on Tuesday ahead of Thursday’s preseason matchup. It’ll give Nick Sirianni’s team competition against a retooled franchise that has Jarod Mayo as head coach and Drake Maye as the future at quarterback.

OLB Jalyx Hunt

Rookie pass rusher Jalyx Hunt had four tackles on the night, while Nolan Smith logged four tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss, and one QB hit.
DB Caden Sterns

Stern played as a rookie for Eagles Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio, who was the Broncos’ head coach in 2021. Sterns suffered a torn patellar tendon in Week 1 last season and was recently activated off of the Physically Unable to Perform list on July 27.
CB Quinyon Mitchell

The rookie has been dynamic in the slot. We want to see more of Mitchell at outside cornerback.
DT Thomas Booker IV

The Texans selected former Stanford defensive tackle Thomas Booker in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Booker played in 15 games last season, registering ten tackles, a pass deflection, and half a sack. Booker played 25 snaps against the Ravens, and Thursday night allows Booker to compete with Moro Ojomo and Marlon Tuipulotu in the position battle.
DB Andre' Sam

Sam (5-11, 191 pounds) jumped from FCS after starting his career in 2017 at McNeese State, where he was selected First Team All-Southland Conference twice. Sam transferred to Marshall for the 2022 season before spending last year at LSU. Sam is locked in a roster battle with James Bradberry and Tristin McCollum for the fourth safety spot.
TE Armani Rogers

Signed by Washington as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Ohio, where he was a quarterback, Rogers recorded five catches for 64 yards during the 2022 season with the Commanders.
Rogers missed 2023 with an injury.
A talented athlete At Ohio, Rogers set the NCAA FBS record for the longest run by a quarterback with a 99-yard touchdown.
WR Ainias Smith

The fifth-round pick averaged 4.3 yards on three punt returns; he lost a fumble and was targeted once, securing a 7-yard gain. Smith’s development this summer could force Philadelphia to cut the late-round draft pick.
RB Lew Nichols

Nichols had seven carries for 21 yards and a touchdown in the preseason opener.
LB Patrick Johnson

Johnson totaled four tackles Friday night and the game-winning strip sack on Ravens quarterback Emory Jones. With the Eagles needing a surge in pressure off the edge, we want to see more of the former Tulane star.
