Interacting with the diary and pressing the Q key will reveal a picture of a map marked with X, indicating the location of a loot crate. You can then make your way to the marked location and find the loot crate to solve the Devious Painting and claim your rewards.

There are three Devious Painting locations in Once Human: Chalk Peak, Red Sands, and Iron River.
