This is my 24th year delivering a lecture to a first year medical school class. I take this responsibility as one of the most important jobs in my life. If you consider the numbers, if each class has 100 medical students, then in 24 years, I’ve lectured to 2,400 medical students. Im honored to be invited back each year. Beginning from my first lecture to the most recent, I begin by acknowledging the amazing people from the past who studied and figured out the complexities of medicine that we practice today. Then I thank my patients who have taught me so much and honor me with entrusting their health. Then I discuss how the students need to be advocates for their patients and need to listen to their patients…. I fill the lecture with as much information as time allows. I hope I’ve made a positive impact for these students future patients #medicine #education #healthcare #doctor #physician.

As Host of The ENT Show on Sirius xm Doctor Radio I hosted two really important and interesting topics today. First hour was about congenital hearing loss and a novel gene therapy that is showing great promise to possibly reverse the hearing loss. And the second hour was devoted to an initiative of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine regarding awareness of Obstructive Sleep Apnea for primary care providers as well as the general public, in particular high risk groups including African Americans, Latin/hispanic/latin-x, and native Americans.
